昼間は人間の姿をしているが、夜になるとオオカミの姿となって人間を襲う。。。そんな恐ろしい生き物「人狼」が、この小さな村の住人に成りすましているらしい。

このまま何もしなければ、 一晩に一人ずつ、人狼の犠牲者が出て、村は滅んでしまいます。

人狼を打ち倒すには村人たちが力を合わせる必要があります。しかし、誰が人狼かもわからないのにどうすれば良いでしょうか？

村人のひとりが提案しました。

「皆でよく議論し、投票で一人を選び、処刑する。 1 日に、一人ずつだ。」

「そんな！人狼じゃない村人を間違って処刑してしまうかもしれないじゃないですか！」

「そうだ。だが他に方法はない。」

こうして、命を懸けた議論戦が始まったのです。
